All About Me
When I look around, what do I see?
That the world is really all about me.
The stars were hung “just so” for my special pleasure
Diamonds and jewels all for my own treasure
Look up to the heavens at the adoring sun,
There to bronze my silky skin while I’m having fun
The trees bear their fruit, for my sheer delight
Cows smile as I pass them. Their offering, my right
I smile at the fragrance of a delicate rose
I savour the perfume with my cute, perky nose
I have children; they love me, they adore me, they serve
Whatever I ask them, they know I truly deserve
Looks of adoration follow my flitting gate
Men clamour to surround me. Forever, they’d wait
It’s so very hard to keep up with my greatness
The world waits for me – they don’t mind my lateness
Adoring fans want a glance from my captivating eyes
When I throw them a look, I see their elated surprise
I know what you’re thinking. You wish you were me
But as much as you try.. only I can be ME
