I Have the Gift
I have the gift of a lover
A man I cannot see
He sings to me in the distance
He whispers his love over me
I have the gift of a best friend
A man who cannot be mine
He loves me with the sweetest touch
He shares with me his wine
I have the gift of a soul mate
A man who prays for me
He kisses me softly on my head
He shows his beauty to me
I have the gift of a man who loves
A man who has opened his heart
He watches over me
He longs for me as we part
I have the gift of being loved
A man who would never love again
He washes away my every fear
He anoints me with love once again
I have the gift of love itself
A gift I never thought I would know
He gives me so many moments
That follow wherever I go
I have a gift, a wonderful man
Whatever tomorrow will bring
I treasure the beauty of his soul
My best friend, lover, everything
I love you…
