Into the Sunset
Painted sunset on a perfect night
Two lovers stood on the ship’s bow
Floating in beauty, no one in sight
This world was their treasure right now
He put his arm ’round her back
She smiled at his tender embrace
A perfect moment without lack
Gentle kiss on her cherished face
The ocean lulling its whispered calm
The lovers resplendently blessed
The retiring night a healing balm
She leaned in against his strong chest
Sailing into a rainbow, both now whole
She nuzzled into his warm neck
Breathing in, he filled her soul
They were so in love on this deck
Floating along, living their dream
Closer than lovers ever had been
Kissed by twinkling stars that gleam
He her angel, and she his queen
Painted sunset on a perfect night
Two lovers stood on the ship’s bow
Two fates sealed in Heaven’s delight
Love was their eternal sweet vow
