for little listeners with big imaginations
Messy Jessy
Messy Jessy, our golden girl, was always making messes
Sometimes making messy crafts, or trying Mommy’s dresses
Painting time always ended with splatters on the wall
When it was time for sports, she found the window with her ball
She made her bed each morning, but by lunch it was a fort
The teddy bears and dolls came to her make-believe queen’s court
Barbie dolls and little toys were her favourite type of play
The basement turned into a doll-clothes pile, the best time of day
Wash time came and often went, she did not like her shower
But once in the tub, she sang aloud and felt sweeter than a flower
Mommy told her, Daddy too, that her sweet spirit made God smile
They loved her so much, Messy Jessy, their perfect golden child
