My Voice
Surely you know my Spirit rests
Upon the hearts of those I call
Lift your head, your eyes and heart
Give to me your all
For in all, give nothing less
Than all you have to give
Then you shall find a place to rest
To prosper and to live
You fret about with prayers in angst
You worry for tomorrow
My children, it cannot be as such
My road is not one of sorrow
Come into the upper room
Feast upon my love
Then all you face will be foreplanned
With mercy, grace, and love
I see the pictures of your day
The story of your life
I see the effort, the struggle and toil
The chaos and the strife
But all of this, both big and small
Is still within my hand
Your job is but to worship me
And in these hard times stand
Be the peacemakers, be the brides
That wait for me at night
Pray in earnest, praise in joy
Stand upon that hill a light
Now come to me for one more thing
With your heart that of a child
Take from me the Father’s love
Ferocious, free, and wild
