The Polka Penguin’s Fancy Pants
Polka Penguin was a bird who loved his fancy pants
In his pants, he’d run and skip and flit and walk and prance
Polka Penguin walked around with a big smile on his face
His fancy pants his ever-joy, in every single place
One day Polka Penguin came upon a messy situation
Splashed by a passing car with mud, much to his aggravation
He looked down in a panic, afraid to find the worst
His fancy pants were filthy, they were ruined, he was cursed
Polka Penguin took a step, but his feet would not lift high
No more fancy prancing, no more skipping, he began to cry
Polka Penguin slowly trudged his way back to his home
He changed into his jammies and he sat silently alone
Mommy Penguin found him on his bed, face full of tears
She asked why he was crying, where was his dancing cheer
He showed her his old fancy pants, now stained and ruined with mud
She kissed him on the head and said this was a job for Mr. Suds
She set out to the laundry using lots of suds and bubbles
Next thing you know, the pants were sparkling on the double
Now Polka Penguin laughs again as he taps his feet in song
His fancy pants restored like new, as if nothing had gone wrong
So if one day Polka Penguin finds his fancy pants again stained
He will not cry, he will not worry, because they could be cleaned again
